Zeppelin LZ77 LZ 107
First flight : 16 October 1916
Class : Q
One attack on Boulogne, France, dropping 1,440 kilograms (3,170 lb) of bombs (several other raids being cancelled or aborted). Decommissioned in July
LZ 107 was an army airship and after the shooting down of SL 11 at Cuffley no more army Zep’s were sent to the UK. Also they were forbidden to cross the frontline, so the only possible mission was to down the channel and attack some French coastal city, like Rouen, Etaples and Boulogne.
At 16 February 1917 LZ 1017 attacked Boulogne, it was the last successful raid done by an army airship.
